EVENT DATE: Aug 24, 2013
After working in the advertising Industry for 12 years, Bea quit her job during the recession and embarked on a soul-searching adventure. It was in Cambodia when Bea had a sobering dose of reality. She was sadden by the impoverished condition the Cambodian people live in and the lack of even the most basic healthcare. Upon a friend's suggestion, she visited the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) and was deeply moved by what the hospital is trying to do.
The AHC is non-profit children's hospital founded by Friends Without a Border. AHC believes every child has the right to a healthy and loving life. It provides free medical care for children from malnourishment to HIV, from in-hospital treatments to homecare programs. It also aims to increase the self-sufficiency of Cambodian people and is one of two teaching hospitals in the country.
It is a privilege to live the lives we do, and we want to use this opportunity to give back to others in need. And so, rather than having a wedding registry, we would dearly appreciate it if you would make a donation to Friends without a Border / Angkor Hospital for Children. It would truly mean the world to us. Thank you for your love and support!
