Edgar Beaudreau was working in his basement like so many times before on Sunday, January 12th when he felt a cramp in his right calf. The pain became unbearable as he called for his wife, Sue. She discovered that his leg was completely white and his foot became numb very quickly. She insisted on calling 911. Edgar was taken by ambulance to Kent County Hospital where he was told that he had an aneurism behind both knees, two in his groin and one in his stomach. While working in the basement, he spent a lot of time down on his knee which caused a clot in his right leg. Several doctors stated that the aneurism was the biggest they have ever seen. After several different procedures, the Beaudreau family was given the devastating news that Edgar would have to endure an amputation. As you can imagine, this has been extremely difficult for everyone and my hope is that with some financial relief, the family will have one less worry.
