BEAU'S COFFEE IS GROWING!
In just a few weeks, Beau’s Coffee will be expanding into a new space in Wilmington that has been generously donated for our use by the Rippy Family. If you’ve ever visited Beau’s Coffee than you know the one thing that is missing is more space. With lines wrapped around the building and very limited seating, we have been bursting at the seams from day one. Our current 500 square foot space can barely accommodate more than 20 people at a time and our wheelchair accessibility is limited.
But all of that is about to change as we move into a space that is more than 10 times as large – the old Hummer building at 4949 New Center Dr. This new space will not only accommodate more visitors, it will also have private meeting space that will be free and available to our community as well as a separate library space that will be a perfect environment for reading and study. All of the restrooms are ADA compliant and there will be ample parking and outdoor seating. In this new space, we’ll have the ability to expand our menu – big plans are in store for offering sandwiches, salads and homemade gelato.
AND THE BEST PART OF ALL IS THAT WE WILL BE CREATING MORE JOBS. Our hope is to double our workforce and change the local unemployment statistics for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. And from there, the sky’s the limit because we plan to replicate this business model and just like Rachael Ray said, "Put a Beau’s Coffee on every corner from coast to coast."
100% of your donations will be used to upfit our new 5,000 sq/ft space with fixtures and equipment.
Beau's Coffee is owned and operated by ABLE to Work USA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The mission of ABLE to Work USA is to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find meaningful employment.
