This year I am doing the Lost Lake race with team of friends and we are very excited about our team contribution. We are almost to our goal and are making one last push to achieve it!
The Lost Lake race is a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. No cure has yet been discovered for this genetic disorder and runners and walkers participating in the Lost Lake race collect pledges to support research and help find a cure. Cystic Fibrosis primarily affects the respiratory system, but also damages the pancreas, kidneys, liver, and intestines. Typically, individuals with Cystic Fibrosis do not live past their late thirties. We are a group of people that want to help raise money for this cause. We believe in being physically fit and healthy for life and we are willing to spread the word about Cystic Fibrosis to help those with CF extend their lives and find a cure!
This is a fun race with many survivors supporting and participaitng in the event. Each mile marker of the race honors a survivor or someone that lost their battle with CF - each mile motives you towards the next with those stories.
A bit more about the fundraising race can be found here: http://lostlakerun.com/
Any amount is very much appreciated! Please consider donating today!
