Please support the American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro’s 2016 New York City Marathon participants as they run 26.2 miles to help provide innovative services and programs for children with disabilities in Israel. Through tireless training and dedication, each runner has committed to raising at least $3,000 to help support AFOBIS’s work. We hope you’ll come to cheer on Team AFOBIS on November 6th as they take on all five boroughs and race to the finish line to help raise much needed funds to support children with disabilities in Israel and throughout the world
The American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro is the U.S. fundraising organization supporting Beit Issie Shapiro (BIS), Israel's leading organization in the development and provision of innovative therapies and services for children with disabilities. BIS impacts more than 30,000 people through educational and theraputic services, research, training, and advocacy.
With over 300,000 Israeli children with disabilities and many millions more worldwide, Beit Issie Shapiro has moved beyond its origins as Israel's most prolific provider of services to children with disabilities and their families to become an acknowledged global leader in the development and proven implementation of innovative solutions in the disabilities field.
