BE K I N D
Organized by: Raquel Reyes
EVENT DATE Sep 15, 2015
My friend Erin chose an interesting lifestyle. One that requires brave love, bold sacrifice, and unusual risk. She believes God’s love looks like something. That it is tangible and real. God’s love looks like justice for the oppressed, healing for the sick, comfort for the brokenhearted, acceptance for the outcast; light for the world’s darkness. She is motivated by the loving eyes of a good, good Father looking down on the world He created and the children He loves.
She lives a life completely dependent on God, in which the generosity of others plays a huge role. She surprised many by quitting the day job she never had to pursue her passion to reach the nations for Jesus. And she needs our help!
Skeptical? So was I. This kind of lifestyle is different and certainly is not “normal”. But her light shines bright and I believe in her ability to set the world on fire for Jesus. In my book she is brave for leaving the glam of Orange County California for a lifestyle characterized by uncertainty where she relies, in large part, on the kindness of strangers.
For those of us that know Erin, let’s rally in love. Let’s be kind and support her mission.
