I came across a picture of two small children in obvious need of food and shelter. I became so saddened to see them dirty and in rags that I wished that we could adopt them. While adoption may not be a realistic possibility, it did inspire me to research how I could help children in need. I came across the Trick or Treat UNICEF Program. This seems to be such a simple and well timed method to help a child in need. With this organization, out of every dollar spent, 90 cents goes toward helping children. This is how you can help: $5- Can provide children with 13 doses of measles vaccine. $15- Can provide a child with clean, safe water for one year. $50- Can provide 35 malnourished children with lifesaving nutrition for one day. $165- Can provide a bicycle to deliver medicine to children. Choose to make a positive difference in a child's life. Accept this request as my children's Halloween visit to your doorstep asking you to contribute to this worthy cause.
