Benefit For Starr's Family
Organized by: Kelli Hager
Benefit For Starr’s Family We are seeking help to benefit Starr Hager’s family. Starr was diagnosed with the wrong kind of Lupus in September 2014. In October 2015 she went in for an MRI. She was given medication for her pain, but went into a coma. This caused a sever amount of pressure on her brain and needed an emergency surgery to put a permanent tube in, when she came out of the coma, she had bleeding in her colon. They did surgery to stop her bleeding but because she had been given Xarelto she developed more bleeding. Xarelto is a dangerous drug that keeps the blood from clotting. This also causes sever bleeding. The FDA has recalled it but not before the damage has been done. This drug has injured many people to the point of death. The doctors in Lubbock would not operate anymore on Starr. After 2 weeks her mother Kelli got Starr a transfer to Albuquerque NM. They did 4 more surgery’s on Starr to try and stop her sever bleeding. Her lungs grew very weak from no exercise, narcotics and being intubated. On December 12th 2015 Starr was taken off life support and soon after went to be with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Starr was only 20 yrs young. Starr’s family is survived by her mother Kelli and 2 brothers Skyler and Truman. The Hager Family needs anything you can help with to get back on their feet. They lost their home and Kelli’s truck is being repossessed it’s the only mode of transportation they have. They are in danger of losing everything they have in storage. Please help with anything you can thank you.
