Family, Friends and Colleagues,
As many of you know, I have recently rediscovered my passion for running and endurance events.
This November I will be taking on the ultimate challenge and will be competing in the World’s Toughest Mudder 24 hour endurance race in Las Vegas. I was happy to see that the Wounded Warrior Project is one of the sponsors of this event.
As someone who served in the Marine Corps for five years from 1997 to 2002 this charitable group hits right at home for me. I am always in search of ways to try and help out our veterans, especially those that have been injured fighting for this great nation.
If you are not familiar with the Wounded Warrior Project, you will know what they are all about by reading their Vision statement which reads: “To foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history” This powerful statement is supported by the great physical and mental programs they have in place to help wounded vets make the adjustment as they transition to life away from the military.
I am reaching out to you to help me raise money for a very good cause. My running a 24 hour endurance race that will undoubtedly test me mentally and physically is the least I can do for this great cause. Please help me in hitting my goal.
Thank you for your consideration.
