Berlin's total hip replacement surgery
Organized by: Claudia Jaramillo
Berlin is my Rottweiler who has severe hip dysplasia on his right hip . When first diagnosed, he was in a lot of pain and was getting 3 types of pain medication twice daily. Last year, I enrolled him in a research study which involved stem cells getting injected into his hip and I have also been exercising him to build up his muscle in his leg. But even with all that, he still needs the total hip replacement surgery soon. There are other types of surgeries for his condition, but since he is 115 lbs, the only one that will work in the long term is the total hip replacement. Unfortunately, Berlin was diagnosed at 5 months of age, therefore the insurance companies will not pay for surgery and I cannot afford the $7,000 needed to pay for it. We need your help. I am asking, if anyone out there, would be willing to donate anything for Berlin? He will be turning 3 years old in November and I don't know how long he'll be able to keep it up. Please ... any amount will help. Berlin and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time and consideration and would really be extremely grateful for your help.
