The Bernie! Kite will emblazon the sky over the Washington, DC suburbs. High traffic target areas will include The Mixing Bowl area in Northern, VA (375,000 cars/day) and the I-270 Spur in Bethesda, MD (114,000 cars/day). Both areas are located at the Capital Beltway. Other locations in Pennsylvania and North Carolina are being considered. The red/white/blue kite measures 15'x7'. It is specially designed as a "lifter" kite, which can hoist the banner. The banner is 4'x40'. It is designed to provide constant lift and the image will not "bleed through" to the opposite side of the banner. The kite will require anchoring to a car. The car will have a mechanism to quickly raise and lower the kite. This will also allow the kite to be displayed all day. The kite will be utilized during the primary season and during the general election. After President Sanders has taken office, it will be used at national rallies.
