BENEFITING: Susan G. Komen
My name is SSG Chandra Ashley; my friend SFC Crystal Slay and I just committed ourselves to the Susan G. Komen 3-day, 60 mile walk in Dallas, TX from the 1st-3rd of November. We are both in United States Army. We will be walking 60 miles over three days to demonstrate our determination in finding a cure for breast cancer. Every 74 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer. We are walking and fundraising for the Komen 3-Day, because everyone deserves a lifetime!
Our training has already begun—we are walking about 25 miles a week right now in preparation for our 3-Day journey. Just imagine us covering twenty miles each day for three days in a row, and camping for two nights in a pink tent!
You may be wondering why we are walking 60 miles and raising a minimum of $2,300 each in donations. We are determined to meet this personal challenge to erase breast cancer. This cause is very important to us, and with our determination and your support, we know that we can do this!
Susan G. Komen for the Cure works hard to build a future without breast cancer, and our goal is to raise $4,600 to help bring us closer to that goal. Please consider making a donation. You can donate by cash, check or online through the link provided below. No donation is too big – or too small.
Chances are you know one of those women who has been affected by breast cancer. Consider your donation as a powerful tribute to them. Thank you for taking the time to read this email. I appreciate your support.
