Beta Theta Pi at High Point University- Make-A-Wish
Organized by: Beta Theta Pi HPU
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a national non-profit organization that arranges special experiences ("wishes") to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The foundation grants wishes to children who are recommended to receive a wish. The wish is granted at no cost to the child or their family. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina covers 51 counties. The chapter has granted more than 3,000 wishes since it was founded in 1985. The chapter has yet to turn down an eligible wish. The brothers of the High Point Colony of Beta Theta Pi have chosen the Make-A-Wish Foundation as their philanthropy because of the foundation’s meaningful impact on the lives of those whose whishes it grants. The brothers have pledged not only monetary support to the foundation, but additionally plan to volunteer at future Make-A-Wish events in North Carolina. It is the goal of the colony to one day pledge enough support to fund a child’s entire wish.
