After not much consideration, I decided to do the Paddle for Plummer last week. It's easy to decide to fundraise for an organization that has been an important part of Salem since 1855. The Plummer Home serves kids who have been bouncing around foster care for most of their lives. Their childhoods have been full of upheaval, uncertainty and instability. They need safety, stability and families that will be theirs forever. Plummer Home helps them find that.
Paddle for Plummer will take place on July 13, 2014 in Salem, MA at Winter Island. I'm asking for your support in donating to The Plummer Home. I encourage you to look at their website to learn about the Plummer Home: http://www.plummerhome.org/index.php
Look, there's a guy on Kickstarter who has received over $40,000 in donations to make potato salad. Yes, just potato salad. While potato salad can be delicious (if it's made the right way), this is better and it means a lot to people in our community who need our support.
And hey, if you come down to Winter Island on Sunday morning, you can see me fumble about on a stand-up paddleboard.
Thank you in advance for your donation and I hope to see you Sunday morning!
