BENEFITING: MOZAMBICAN FUNDRAISING NETWORK INC
The Mozambican Fundraising Network is a 501c3 organization based in New York, that was founded on the principle that local fundraising and philanthropy is crucial to solving development problems.
Once the organization was founded, the real work began. I've undertaken a large research project through my work at NYU to figure out what works and what doesn't work in African local philanthropy - both academically, and at the grassroots level.
This fundraiser is to support my attendance at the African Grantmakers Assembly as a part of my own research on local philanthropy in southern Africa, and to gain a seat at the table where important stakeholders are gathering to figure out what Africa is already doing for Africans, and what the international community can do to add to that dialogue.
This funding would support the cost of my travel to and from the event to represent the Mozambican Fundraising Network being held in Johannesburg, as well as to cover the cost of bringing supplies to get our name out there (pamphlets, brochures, and business cards.)
Thank you for your support!!
