Beth's climb to success
Organized by: Beth Dalton
My name is Beth I'm a 32 year old single mom. For years now I have wanted to start my own bakery. Being a single mom with multiple disabilities makes it hard to work full time. Therefore coming up with enough $ to go to school, buy all the baking materials needed and start an in home bakery to build up my number of clients is difficult. I've struggled my entire adult life. When I found baking I felt like I was being saved. Even with pain I experience from my fibromyalgia or other complications life throws my way I still pull through in the kitchen. I really love what I do and it's a way for me to express my creative side. When it comes to baking for my clients, nothing holds me back. But there is still so much for me to learn before I can be successful. My family deserves so much more than I can offer working part time in a minimum wage job. Baking is my way out. I know it will take hard work and I am ready for it. I don't like asking for handouts. So at this point I am desperate. In the near future I would like to have a bakery, and possibly offer employment to those struggling like myself.
