A 13 mile, city-wide, pilgrimage to support The Pittsburgh Promise and Pittsburgh’s kids. We are walking because many of our city’s children are suffering serious educational inequality. We believe that together we must link elbows around all of our kids to ensure that their lives, which are full of promise, are also full of opportunity. All proceeds from the walk will benefit The Pittsburgh Promise which safeguards that opportunity by providing college scholarships.
Oxford Development issued a $10,000 Challenge to the walk. Help us raise $10,000 and we will unlock this incredibly generous gift!
The Magley Family will walk the last leg and invite you to join us. This is a 2.5 mile walk from Phillips Elementary (1901 Sarah Street Pittsburgh, PA 15203 – South Side) to Science and Technology Academy (107 Thackeray Street Pittsburgh, PA 15213), We will meet around 1:00pm at Phillips for a 1:15 departure. Please join us for the walk or at the finish line for a celebratroy cookout. Walkers will have access to shuttle rides back to their cars after the festivities. Cookout attendees will get food, drink and entertainment with their sweaty friends. Either way, we'd love your company next Saturday!
AND a contribution to The Pittsburgh Promise will make your participation that much sweeter.
