BEYOND BULLIES via Crowdrise
August 29, 2012
BENEFITING: BEYOND BULLIES
EVENT DATE: Aug 01, 2013
Children who are targets of bullying drop out of school more often, have lower academic achievement and are more prone to anxiety and depression. Many students have reported that bullying is a weekly, even a daily occurrence at school or online. Unfortunately, the majority of schools around the country do not have bullying programs to protect children against bullying.
The Beyond Bullies’ Teen Leadership prevention program helps teens as well as middle school students who are the most vulnerable to attack, by giving them the tools to be able to identify, take action and gracefully transition into high school. Peers teach subjects, such as cyber bullying while integrating creative activities to inform and entertain students.
Training $250 per student for 20 students $5,000
Program operations and coordination $3,500
Materials, venue and marketing $2,000
