On November 22, 2015, a group of Berkeley Free Clinic ("BFC") volunteers and friends will be running in the Berkeley Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for the clinic. Please consider making a tax deductable donation in support of our effort, and in turn, ensure our doors remain open and our services remain free!
About the Berkeley Free Clinic:
The Berkeley Free Clinic, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 1969 and provides free medical, dental, counseling, and information services to community members in the Bay Area. We have proudly served thousands of community members during our 46-year history.
Fees have never been charged for any services, materials, medications or supplies provided at the Berkeley Free Clinic. Income is generated solely by individual or organizational donations, grants, and government programs.
The clinic is run almost entirely by volunteers, meaning the majority of the funds we raise go directly toward providng care for our clients.
In 2014, we served more than 8,200 community members, 51% of which were uninsured, and 24% were homeless.
