Promotion: Raise at least $250 before 12/28 at 11:59pm EST for a chance to win a $250 (two-hundred-and-fifty-dollar) Donation from John Hancock. See rules way below.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) and Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) are thrilled to partner with our inspired 2013 Boston Marathon team of John Hancock employees to raise funds to provide hope and opportunity for youth in the greater Boston area. To streamline our donation process this year, all gifts will be directed to Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) and then divided equally between BGCB and RBTV.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB)
The mission of BGCB is to help young people, especially those who need us most, build strong character and realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders.
BGCB serves 14,000 youth, ages 6-18, annually. Half of our members come from households earning less than $27,000 per year. Programming in our Clubs is offered at a cost of $25 per school year for youth ages 6-12 and only $5 for teens, yet, BGCB invests an average of $2,500 per member.
Support from our partners raises critical funds for our life-enhancing programming in the areas of Education, Arts, Life Skills, Leadership, Technology, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV)
The mission of the Ron Burton Training Village is to build within youth from low income communities, racial harmony, leadership, self determination, respect and love for others through a program of spiritual, educational and physical fitness training in a wholesome, caring environment.
Over the past twenty -four years, the Ron Burton Training Village has served more than 3,000 young men and women in their spiritual, physical and educational growth. Twelve months a year, over a six-year period, campers are guided, supported and mentored in some of life’s most essential areas including: education, social skills, morals, values, leadership and fitness.
Though campers come from very diverse backgrounds, the majority of the youth who attend the training village are kids from economically disadvantaged and often troubled and at-risk situations. The Ron Burton Training Village curriculum directs the focus of these individuals toward a positive and productive target whose bull’s-eye is; a love for God and ones fellow human beings, physical adeptness and academic excellence. We are able to accomplish this through the medium of sport.
