DAY-1 DEPART FOR ROME
Meet your fellow travelers and board your overnight flight to Europe.
DAY-2 WELCOME TO EUROPE!
YOU ARE HERE: ROME, ITALY
After meeting your delegation manager, begin your journey in the ancient Roman Colosseum. Walk in footsteps of ancient gladiators—and imagine the spectators who came to watch—in this historic place. Explore the nearby ruins at the Roman Forum, as well, as you think about just how long Rome has existed.
DAY-3 ROME CITY QUEST: TAKE ON A UNIQUE CHALLENGE
YOU ARE HERE: ROME, ITALY
During a fun City Quest adventure, join with fellow delegates to find important Roman landmarks like the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain.
Later, visit the world’s smallest country—the Vatican! Wonder at the artistry of the frescos of the Sistine Chapel and see for yourself the scale of St. Peter's Basilica. Explore the Vatican Museums for even more insight.
DAY-4 SERVICE ON A GLOBAL SCALE
YOU ARE HERE: PERUGIA, ITALY
Participate in an emotionally rewarding service project with physically and mentally challenged children. This is a true People to People moment and a unique chance to contribute to the community!
DAY-5 ACCEPT A FULL ON TEAM CHALLENGE
YOU ARE HERE: PERUGIA, ITALY
Full-on is all about gaining confidence—in yourself! During exercises led by the Full On team, you can test your brain power and physical agility. Enjoy a full day of adventure, leadership, and personal growth challenges—ending with the most difficult Full On challenge. You’ll step outside your comfort zone to rappel 70 feet off a tower wall!
DAY-6 ART AND WORLD RELIGIONS IN FLORENCE
YOU ARE HERE: FLORENCE, ITALY
Pay a visit to the Accademia Gallery, which houses Michelangelo's colossal statue, David. Explore the city of Florence where you'll pass by the Duomo and the bronze doors of the Baptistery, known as the Gate to Paradise.
Italy is famous for producing high-quality leather! Learn about the production and processing of fine leather at the Leonardo Leather Works.
Later, engage in a discussion with a monk or a priest who will tell you more about daily life in a monastery.
DAY-7 BUON APPETITO!
YOU ARE HERE: MONTECATINI, ITALY
Discover inspiring Romanesque architecture in the Italian city, Pisa. See the Leaning Tower for yourself after walking across the Square of Miracles.
Help preserve local plant species during an environmental service project in a nearby park. Clean up the park and making an positive impact on the surrounding area as you give back in the spirit of global citizenship.
Watch a pizza-making demonstration, then make and eat your own pizza when you explore Tuscan cuisine during at an Italian fattoria. Buon appetito!
DAY-8 HIKE THE "LOVE" TRAIL ALONG THE CINQUE TERRE
YOU ARE HERE: LA SPEZIA, ITALY
Relax on the beaches alongside the Mediterranean Sea at Monterosso, and get ready to board a ferry for a ride along the Cinque Terre, or five lands. Cruise past five coastal villages perched along the jagged coastline.
Make a stop to hike along a famous “love” trail between two of these colorful villages before arriving in La Spezia.
FRANCE

DAY-9 PUT YOUR NOSE TO THE TEST!
YOU ARE HERE: CANNES, FRANCE
Explore Monaco—famous for its royal Grimaldi family and its Grand Prix racetrack. See the streets that transform into the Grand Prix racetrack and learn about this unique country—which occupies an area smaller than that of New York's Central Park.
Uncover the art of making French parfum, when you put your nose to the test during a competition to smell and identify the different essences used to create fragrances at a local perfume factory.
DAY-10 MAKE A SPLASH IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE
YOU ARE HERE: CANNES, FRANCE
Experience the beautiful French Riviera in Cannes—home to the famous Cannes Film Festival.
Later, explore Nice, the capital of the Blue Coast, in small groups during time set aside to relax and go bowling! Discover Nice’s coastline promenade and take a swim in sparkling, blue waters.
DAY-11 REMEMBERING WORLD WAR II HEROES AT THE RHONE AMERICAN CEMETERY
YOU ARE HERE: AVIGNON, FRANCE
Honor the fallen at the Rhone American Cemetery—the final resting place for 861 soldiers killed in 1944 during the surprise landing in southern France. The cemetery director will welcome you before you pay your respects.
Journey on to Avignon to see the biggest Gothic palace in all of Europe—the Papal Palace. It’s as large as four regular cathedrals and at one time served as a prison!
Enjoy some time exploring the beautiful city of Avignon on your own.
DAY-12 DISCOVER A MODERN-DAY MEDIEVAL CITY
YOU ARE HERE: CARCASSONNE, FRANCE
In nearby Carcassonne, see where the 1997 movie, Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves was filmed. Take some time to explore this cool medieval city that is still inhabited today, having changed little in the last 600 years!
SPAIN

DAY-13 TIME TRAVEL AND A NEW FAMILY!
YOU ARE HERE: HOME STAY - SPAIN
Travel back in time at the Tautavel Man Cave, one of the biggest prehistoric sites in of the world. Learn about the work of archeologists at this site, with finds dating back as many as 450,000 years.
Enjoy a fun picnic before continuing to explore.
Later, meet your home-stay family and be welcomed into your new European home!
DAY-14 COMPLETE CULTURAL IMMERSION
YOU ARE HERE: HOME STAY - SPAIN
Today you can experience local life and culture with a Spanish family who graciously opens their home to share their way of life with you. Enjoy traditional foods, learn about family friendships, and discover a way of life in another country.
DAY-15 BUILDING FRIENDSHIPS WITH INTERNATIONAL HOST FAMILIES
YOU ARE HERE: HOME STAY - SPAIN
Spend another day learning about Spanish culture with your home-stay family. Take a minute to to let them know how much you appreciate their hospitality, as well as share your own culture and values with them. Don’t forget to leave a thank you note—and a great impression of Americans!
DAY-16 COOKING AND DANCING - SPANISH STYLE!
YOU ARE HERE: BARCELONA, SPAIN
Say goodbye to your home stay family and rejoin your delegation.
Learn how to cook the delicious Spanish rice dish, paella, and discover why it has traditionally been eaten on Sundays in the fall.
In Barcelona, explore the work of Antoni Gaudi, Spain’s most famous architect. See the La Sagrada Familia Cathedral—under construction since 1882 and likely not be completed for another 30 years!
DAY-17 EXPLORING ZARAGOZA!
YOU ARE HERE: ZARAGOZA, SPAIN
Compete in a friendly volleyball match against local Spanish students.
Discover the beautiful city of Zaragoza—a beautiful city filled with unique Iberian, Roman, Muslim and Christian history.
Visit the Aljafería Palace. Built in the 11th century, it is the largest surviving example of Islamic Spanish architecture and today serves as the headquarters for a regional parliament.
DAY-18 UNDERSTANDING THE SPORT OF BULLFIGHTING
YOU ARE HERE: MADRID, SPAIN
Go behind-the-scenes to learn more about bullfighting. Visit a real Spanish cortijo to see how horses and bulls are raised and trained for this dangerous sport.
Explore Madrid! Discover the colorful history of the Plaza Mayor, which has been the site of everything from bullfights to beauty pageants! See fancy Royal Palace, the world’s greatest collection of Spanish paintings at the Prado Museum, and the place where “all roads in Spain begin”—the Puerta del Sol.
DAY-19 SAY GOODBYE TO AN INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE - AND SOME GREAT, NEW FRIENDS
