Big Steps Outreach Network (BONET), is a youth led organization in Cameroon working for and with young people. Since our founding we have worked tirelessly in the face of a myriad of obstacles to address issues of marginalization, inequality, HIV/AIDS and other challenges facing young people with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC's), socially excluded people (SEP) and those living with HIV/AIDS.

In the last three years we have worked with a broad network of organizations including branches of AIESEC, Advocates for Youth, JCI, all in an effort to make the lives of of orphans and vulnerable children better in Cameroon, through a combination of volunteering our time, material and financial support.
We however want to do more. There is so much more to be done and we are determined to make 2014- a year of Big Impact. We can't do it alone and this is where we need your help!

What are we Doing and What do We Want to Do?

One of our Big Impact Projects this year is to transform a vocation center we started in our Bamenda Branch in Mendankwe. We want to make it more equipped, more useful and ultimately better able to assist vulnerable youth communities: particularly those out of school and unemployed. At the Center we offer computer and life-skills training, providing both soft-skills and skills which can form the base of an empowering entrepreneurial drive. This work mixes with our preventative risk-reduction strategies in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Substance Abuse because we believe it is essential to equip young people to tackle the 21st Century aptly.

We currently have 5 computers for 30 Students who have signed up and had to turn down many more because we don't have the capacity at the moment. But we want to have it.

Your Donations go to help expand our technological components.

We have staff and volunteers on stand-by to commence hairdressing and aesthetics, catering and domestic economics, bricklaying, carpentry and the arts.
Your Donations go to ensure we have all of the tools necessary to equip our young people and to ensure we always have the staff complement to do so.

Those who successfully go through this training will also have a chance to be enrolled in our mentor-ship program (Young Enterpreneurs) which provides business development, company building, scaling, project management skills/competencies into individuals to promote sustainable development efforts with a chance at being mentored by a mentor from LDI Africa.

WE also want to expand into linking our students with Scholarships and Bursaries as part of our holistic development.

Your Donations will make this possible.

We're Ready to Make 2014 a Big Impact Year. So, Help us to Help them.

How to Help?

We know your contributions and our efforts would go a long way to make a long lasting impact in the lives of these young people; to write success stories and unleash potential.

Donate in Cash, Donate Expertise, Donate in Kind - if you can help us expand our technological components, Help us! Share the Campaign, and Help us to create a network that enables us to help them!

We are counting on you to make this work! Thank you in advance and Thank you so much to those who have already assisted. It means the world to us but more importantly to the youth who benefit from these programs.
