Did you know that 1 in 5 adults and more than 300,000 children live with arthritis, which is the #1 cause of disability in the United States? By pledging to participate in the 4th Annual RiverRide100, you will help to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation to fund research, legislative advocacy and helpful information and other resources. The RiverRide100 name was born from a previous group 100-mile ride in one day on the rail trails of western Pennsylvania following several rivers along the way. But now, you can participate anywhere, anytime this August. Ride your bike on trails, through the city or suburbs, or even in spin class or on a stationary bike in your home or gym. To participate, you can pledge to ride 50, 75 or 100 miles. That distance can be completed in one day or over many days throughout the month of August. It’s entirely up to you. The important thing is to get out and exercise while raising money to help others who may not be as fortunate. For many people with arthritis, bike riding is an excellent activity because it is low impact and helps to keep the body moving while also helping to maintain a healthy body weight.
