Bike to the Lake 2017
The Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI
We will be riding from Glen Ellyn/Elgin to Lake Geneva, WI to raise funds necessary to complete the S.T.E.M. ( science, technology, engineering, math ) facility at the Kamwenge Secondary & Vocational School ( KSVS ) in Uganda. KSVS was started in response to horrendous educational options in the Kamwenge district. What started with 22 students 10 years ago has grown to over 600 students today. The majority of the students receive vocational training, which they use to begin their careers after graduation. Some go to University and receive four year degrees. The S.T.E.M facility will go a long way in helping prepare students for the technologically advanced world in which they live. The total cost to construct the building is $350,000. Our hope is to complete raising the remaining funds this year.
