BENEFITING: The Multiple System Atrophy Coalition
A BIG THANK YOU for stopping by and checking out the site. This cause has become extremely important to me and my family. Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a degenerative neurological disorder. MSA is associated with the degeneration of nerve cells in specific areas of the brain. Being a fairly uncommon disorder, there are limited studies being done to better understand this disease to ultimately treat and cure MSA. In October 2014 I ran my first marathon in honor of my mother who was diagnosed in October 2012. All money raised thus far and funds going forward will go to the MSA Coalition to raise awareness and fund research for this awful disease. Now I am signed up for a new challenge: riding a bike from Seattle to Portland in July 2016 (202 miles in two days). My mom loved to bike. She completed the same STP challenge for her 50th birthday and now I am riding to honor her courageous spirit. Please join me. Get involved. Donate. Spread the word. Together we can fight this disease. Check out my blog: http://erinknutsonwilliams.wordpress.com/ to keep up to date on all things MSA, my mom, and this fundraiser.
