Bill Binnig is a Project Manager and Lead Estimator working in the Kiewit’s Federal Way/Seattle area office. After obtaining a BSCE from Drexel University in Philadelphia Bill realized through 2 years of Co-Operative Education (fulltime internships) construction was his passion. After graduation, Bill was given the opportunity to join Kiewit and started his career in 1981 as an engineer/estimator in Kiewit’s Eastern District Boston Area Office. The opportunity allowed Bill to work on Buildings, Mass Transit, Hydro-Electric Developments, Highway and Bridge projects in the Boston area, New York City and NY State, Louisiana, Connecticut and Maryland. In 2003, the Kiewit workload shifted to the West Coast and Bill accepted a transfer to Gig Harbor, Washington to work on the New Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Since moving to the west coast, Bill has continued his Kiewit employment working on projects in Washington, California and estimating projects throughout the US and Canada. Bill enjoys outdoor activities including skiing, cycling, boating, camping and hiking. He lives in Gig Harbor, WA with Jayne his wife, a Nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital and daughters Chelsea, attending College in Boston, Michaela a high school Senior and son Zach, an apprentice electrician working in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
