BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: Team HITW NYC Marathon 2016
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing to seriously ill children and their families, free of charge. The Hole in the Wall Camp was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman to give every child - no matter what their illness - the chance to "raise a little hell." Including the summer camp in Ashford, CT, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camps runs 9 programs that serve more than 25,000 kids and family members throughout the Northeast each year. The goal is to ensure that every child with a serious medical condition has the chance to experience the world of possibilities that camp has to offer.
If a child is unable go away to camp, the Hospital Outreach Program brings the hopeful, playful spirit of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp to children and families in a hospital setting at kids' bedsides and in playrooms, helping to restore joy and laughter in a time of fear, stress and uncertainty. .
I am training hard to prepare for the 26.2 mile race with over 50,000 other runners from around the world on November 6. Please consider helping me reach my goal by donating. Thank you for your support.
