BENEFITING: CHILDRENS CANCER CENTER
EVENT: 4th ANNUAL CHICK-FIL-A FALL STAMPEDE BENEFITING CHILDREN'S CANCER CENTER
EVENT DATE: Sep 12, 2015
THE STORY:
C.J. Tosca, son of Carlos and Geraldine Tosca, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and died in 1986 at the age of two. Since then our family has participated in numerous fundraisers and foundations to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Neuroblastoma, an adrenal cancer found in developing nerve cells of the medulla, usually affects infants or children under 10. Approximately 700 children younger than 15 are diagnosed each year. It is the third most common tumor in children and the most common cancer in babies younger than one.
One of the last things CJ said to his family when he was in the hospital was "look at the birds." We created the team "Birds of a Feather Flock Together For A Cure" in memory of him. We hope that this important cause speaks to your heart and you will join our flock in search of a cure. Thank you for your support.
