I remembered so well last year in August my brother passed away. That very Monday I came to work still bearing the weight of my brother’s death, you stopped me and in your busy day you spoke with me for what seemed like two hours. You shared with me your experience with death in the family and what you’ve done to accept and cope with your loss. You said told me that my brother is no longer suffering. You helped me muster all my strength to be the rock for my family who needed me most. I didn’t know that you were a pastor. As it says in the bible: In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 You definitely were a shining light among many people. You were a great teacher to me, you said that you saw the potential in me to be a great inspector. My success has been attributed to your guidance Mr. Thompson. You will be missed. 3 years ago

Brother Thompson will forever be in my heart. Such a good Pastor, teacher, preacher, example but mostly a friend and a true man of God. I have no words to express just how much he meant to me. I wish with all of my heart that he was still here with us. He taught me so much. He gave so much of himself. I loved him with all of my heart and he has left us too soon, but not a day late in God's eyes. Our Lord has called him home and it just hurts very, much not to have him with us anymore. Brother Thompson you will be missed. You were loved by many. I loved you so much and I will never forget you. You were there for me, for my family when we needed God the most. You made such a difference in our lives. You have impacted so many lives and I will forever be grateful unto you for all of your love and support. I thank God for having the pleasure of meeting such a wonderful, God fearing man. One who was honest enough to speak to you with the truth. Never sugar coated anything. He was honest, he was genuine, he was a friend, a Pastor who cared about his flock. My only hope and comfort is that you went to be with our Lord, are in a better place and that we will all see you again. 3 years ago

Most probably will never know the impact Andre made on me in such a short period of time. I met him at a transition point in life. He saw something in me and gave me a chance a living again. My 45 minute interview ended up being 2 hours as we shared many experinces in life we had in common. I had lived most of my life as a non-believer until the pain of living life had become too much to handle. One day in his office, Andre was multitasking doing 5 things at once and probably thinking of many more. Listening to me was just one of them. I felt compelled to tell him a little of my story and the trails I had been through to learn that God was real and the events that transpired to get me back to California after 21 years. He stopped everything and gave me his undivided attention. We talked for hours about a host of subjects. He never once mentioned he was a Pastor/Bishop. As a matter of fact I never found out from him directly. What a humble guy. Andre, I am grateful to have known for the short time I did. Take care my friend. KP 3 years ago
