BENEFITING: BITE ME CANCER
Bite Me Cancer needs $7,125 more to fully fund our 4th thyroid cancer research grant (grant total of $57,500)! Please help us meet this goal during September, which is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month.
We've funded 3 previous grants so far, and the first grant was successfully completed in June 2016. The researcher is now planning to submit for a clinical trial based on the success of her research!
When Bite Me Cancer's founder, Nikki, was diagnosed with a Sporadic Medullary Thyroid Cancer; there was no treatment available other than surgery. Four years later, with a drug finally approved by the FDA, Nikki began taking daily oral chemo pills that she still takes today. It is especially important for Bite Me Cancer to find better treatments and perhaps a cure for all forms of thyroid cancer.
