It Takes A Village For Sophie Olender...
Organized by: Anthony Olender
It takes a village, it takes Southampton...
Sadly, as most of you know, our beloved Sophie Olender has recently passed after a 10 year battle with breast cancer at the young age of 49. Sophie left behind 2 children - Ayden and Olivia, ages 22 and 13. Sophie's love of her children gave her the strength to fight as long as she did, but ultimately her battle with cancer was lost on June 20th, 2016.
The home that Sophie and her children lived in was a rental in South Carolina. Their home was in the process of being sold and the sale has since been finalized during this recent time. Ayden and Olivia now only have a few more weeks until July 30th to vacate their home. It was Sophie's wish for her children Ayden and Olivia to move back to Southampton and live with their cousin Anthony Olender and his wife Rebeca.
The time is near and Ayden and Olivia are faced with the enormity of the move as well as grieving for their mother. Ayden and Olivia need everyone's help to make that journey possible...they are faced with moving costs, education, everyday expenses, etc. Ayden and Olivia are very bright, sweet and loving kids with a long and positive future ahead of them. Ayden plans to continue with college after first taking some time off during this difficult transition for Olivia and himself. Olivia will be entering the 8th grade in Southampton in September. We want to make sure they have the best start possible after such a tragedy for them...any prayers or donations for Ayden and Olivia would be greatly appreciated!
Sophie's family is also planning a benefit to be hosted some time in August. We will keep you posted on further details.
We appreciate your support!
