Soccer has done so much for me. To this day, my closest friends are people I played soccer with growing up. The sport helped give me confidence that carried over into other aspects of my life. One of the reasons I love Soccer in the Streets as an organization and am more than willing to ask/beg/harass people for money is because I truly believe in soccer as a medium to make kids into better people. It is something I witnessed in my own household growing up and am starting to witness in my own children.
And, the people behind Soccer in the Streets are fantastic people who are really making a difference in our communities.
That being said, please give to this great cause and help me beat my fundraising goal of $2000. Every little bit helps.
Also, come on out on October 2nd to the Black Tie Soccer Game. There will be music, fun for the kids, etc. But, the highlight will be watching me play soccer in formalwear.
