Sunday, Oct 2nd @ 3:00 pm - Park Tavern (Monroe & 10th Streets) at Piedmont Park
Oct 2nd the most amazing soccer game you've ever witnessed will take place in Piedmont Park. As a tongue-in-cheek protest to the typical formal banquet fundraiser, we host our fundraiser in the park but the soccer players must play in black tie and ball gowns. If there is a certain embarassing black-tie outfit you want me to play in then I would do that for the cause!
Complete with a professional British announcer, thrills and spills, hard-nosed tackles (in sequins), jamming music and coveted awards for the best dressed player, this is an event not to be missed!
And most important, it's all for a great cause - the kids of metro Atlanta who need a helping hand. All kids deserve a chance for success. Soccer In The Streets empowers kids who lack opportunity by using soccer as a medium to make them employable adults. Currently, nearly 600 kids on a weekly basis are involved in our programs.
I humbly ask you to help me reach my $500 goal by Oct 1. A number of you receiving this email have donated to this cause in the past....I know who you are and I can't say thank you enough! If you can again that's wonderful, but if not then please at least forward this request to others you know.
Each player has a goal of raising $500 through pledges. Are you up to the challenge?
