After running a 5k in July, I was looking to run a 10k to step up my attempts at fitness. I got an email from Women's Health about their 10k run to help feed the hungry; run 10K and feed 10 people. Immediately I thought that this would be my opportune chance to kill two birds with one stone: continue my fitness training and donate to a wonderful cause. Unfortunately, the 10K sold out before I had a chance to register, so I took up the option of doing a 10K on my own! I set a date for the last possible date I could do it, but if I feel up to it I will try to do it before this 10/15/12 date. Basically, I'm just going to do two giant laps around the Rose Bowl to equal the 10K. I hope.
Thanks for those who have already supported me, whether it be monetary or in words. Now let's feed some people! My registration already covers 10 meals, so all the fundraising from this page will go directly to the cause. How great is that?
