Blankets for the Holiday for hospitalized children
Organized by: Lisa Kunkel
Our youngest son had open heart surgery and was hospitalized with complications on Easter one year. There is nothing as sad for a kid than to spend a holiday in the hospital. They think that they will miss Santa or the Easter bunny. Some special people brought him a colorful blanket and candy, and it meant the world! Now we buy as many fleece blankets as we can, and we take them to our local children's hospital on Christmas Eve, but each year we wish we could do more.
