Please Help Raise Funds to Support Housing for Bella – A Brave 3-year-old little girl’s journey. It's that time of year to give back as we are all fortunate and blessed with so many things! Last year, 3-year-old Bella Hammerly was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia, a blood cancer. Unfortunately, the beginning phase of treatment didn't go as they had hoped, and Bella failed the Induction phase. Meaning she joined a small group of 3-5 percent who fail, and she began her journey into a high-risk category. The next 11 months of her life was spent with mom and dad in and out of Children's Hospital, their home base being a couple hours North of Seattle Children's Hospital. It was filled with intensive multiple treatments, infections, viruses, adverse and allergic reactions, fevers, rashes, etc., even seizures. In between it all moments of calm, though never without exhaustion or worry. Recently Bella and her family were able to come home to begin her maintenance phase that will last 2-1/2 more years, making her 6-1/2 when she completes her treatment. Though it has been successful treatment thus far, as she has entered remission, it's a long and difficult road ahead. Being 'home' has brought many middle of the night trips to Children's Hospital due to fevers and viruses, as well as many routine trips for chemo procedures, labs and doctor appointments. This is a family that does not ask for help and who deserve it so much. I cannot imagine being in and out of the hospital constantly, watching my daughter fight for her life. I would like to see if we can help out with housing when they need to stay in Seattle for her treatments. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a place for them to be comfortable when they have to stay overnight(s) for their visits to Children's Hospital. I know they will appreciate your support so incredibly much. As we are going into the holiday season I would love to help take some of this burden off their shoulders. The road conditions will be getting worse due to weather; I would hate for something to happen to them as they are rushing to the hospital unexpectedly. We are in the housing industry; this is what we do! I know all of you have big hearts and do a lot of different charitable donations however if you can help us with Bella's housing needs we would be very appreciative. If Bella does not need all of the funds that are raised, we will have Bella "Pay it Forward" to another child in need. Thank you for your support and if you want to follow Bella's journey, you can join her Facebook support page: Love for Bella Hammerly.
