Dear Friends and Family,
Ten years ago on my drive home from Houston to see my sister Lori, I made one phone call to Erin Finegold. Four hours later BvB Dallas was born. At the time Erin's grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and I had a front row seat to her families stuggle being the best friend to her mom, Janet.
The past 9 years, since BvB's inception I have watched, cheered, advised, sweat and fret over BvB's growth but mostly I've been extraordinarily PROUD of what it has become and achieved. In 9 short years we have raised $2.3 MILLION dollars playing powderpuff football....blondes vs. brunettes. Pretty impressive!
This organization's goals have always been personal but this year it hit home.....not close to home but in my home. Both of my parents have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Thankfully they are in the mild to moderate stage and functioning, but life is different every day. My siblings and I run strategies daily on keeping them safe, reducing anxiety and working to keep them active.
Now, more than ever, we need funding to keep research on a fast track to a cure.
Join Lori, Peter and me in honor our amazing parents, Carl and Pat Seemann in erradicating this hideous disease. No one should have to live through the long goodbye we will endure with our loving and wonderful parents.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion. Our goal this year is to raise $500K. Together we can move mountains and push the needle forward in finding a cure.
All our love and appreciation,
Deb, Lori and Peter
