THE STORY:

HUDSON RIVER COMMUNITY SAILING wrote -

Sailing for Scholars is a fundraising gala and regatta that supports Sail Academy, Hudson River Community Sailing's Youth Development Program. By donating to our team, you are helping 150 kids from NYC public high schools learn math, science, and leadership through sailing. All proceeds from Sailing for Scholars go directly to support Sail Academy. Sail Academy students learn to sail and build wooden boats, receive college and career support, and become leaders among their peers. Many HRCS graduates have gone on to study engineering and applied sciences in college. Students receive the program for free over the course of four years.
