Dear Friend,
Thank you so very much for your support of Team Boston Cares. With your encouragement yesterday our two amazing runners, Varun Kumar and Douglas Williams, pushed through cold, pain, rain, and wind to reach the finish line in Copley Square. We are so proud of them and so grateful. The race wasn't the only thing they finished yesterday-- they each were able to each exceed their fundraising goals. This makes it highly likely that Boston Cares will get bibs again next year through the John Hancock Boston Marathon Non-Profit Program. This support goes for programs such as last Saturday's Global Youth Service Day, where 150 people, including first time volunteers as young as 5, gathered to make healthy garden kits to teach low income children about the benefits of fresh foods. And today our office is full of teens learning leadership skills and volunteering during their April vacation. During National Volunteer Week (4/12-4/18/2015), Boston Cares volunteers filled 437 slots at 75 projects around Greater Boston, including 12 Global Youth Service Day projects open to youth under 18. Volunteering leaves a great feeling in both the giver and the receiver; your support has grown that.

Thank you so very much!

Dear Bob & Sonia,
Thank you SO MUCH for your support of Varun and his run for Boston Cares in the Marathon this year. It means to much to our organization that he's running for us. Your support helps us get critical volunteer support to more than 150 local non-profit agencies that depend on us 365 days a year. We place volunteer teams at more than 200 projects every month, tutoring adults learning English to improve their job prospects, cleaning up parks, coaching kids with disabilities, and sorting and serving food and clothing for the homeless.

We hope to see you on Marathon day cheering Varun on!

All the best,
