BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
Cancer touches all of our lives. Some of us have it. Some of us have had it. And others know and love those that fall into the first two categories. No matter the connection, cancer is known to be a terrible ugly thing. When my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma, I was at a lost for what to do. I didn’t know how to help. That’s where the idea of Bob’s Beer Run came from. My family and I couldn’t take his cancer away. We couldn’t cure him or the millions with cancer, but we could fundraise for the American Cancer Society. Bob (my Dad) and Mum will be at the event again this year. And an update about Bob, he is doing great! He has been cancer free for over 2 years now! So proud of his fight! This is the donation page for Bob’s Beer Run. The event itself is free to enter with a donation to the ACS. Everyone will get a shirt and a race packet at the start of the day. I cover the costs of the run so that people will give to the ACS and help cancer research and funding. Please donate here and then see the below information for the event details. After you have donated, please message me with your shirt size. Once you have donated and given me you shirt size you are officially registered. Event Details: What: The 4th annual Bobs Beer Run When: June 17th at 10:30am Where: We will meet at New Belgium Brewery at 10:30am. The taproom opens at 11. Please get there early so you can get your shirt, your race number, and your packet of goodies. How: Come ready to run or bike to the breweries in town for a good cause. The route will be the same as last year (with a twist at the end) New Belgium, Horse and Dragon, Odell, Equinox, and end at Steakout this time. At each brewery, grab a beer (NBB and Horse and Dragon are covering the beers, at Odell, Equinox, and Steakout you will need to buy your own beers). Let’s have some fun, raise money for cancer, and make some memories. Be good to each other and wear sunscreen.
