BENEFITING: CREATIVE CAULDRON INC
Join us in raising the funds we need to complete the next "Bold New Work," Monsters of the Villa Diodati
Our “Bold New Works for Intimate Stages” Initiative is a five-year commissioning project that was launched this past Season with The Turn of the Screw.
And now Matt Conner and Stephen Gregory Smith bring us another thrilling original “Bold New Work”: Monsters of the Villa Diodati.
Monsters draws its inspiration from one of the most pivotal moments in gothic history – a fateful summer night when some of the greatest literary minds of the 19th century gathered at a villa on Lake Geneva to entertain one another with ghost stories. Prodded by their “rock star’ host, Lord Byron, these writers set to work on producing the perfect tale of terror. And from that challenge two of the most iconic stories in literature were born: John Polidori’s The Vampyre and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
We have received a grant from the Arts Council of Fairfax County for $4,149 that must be matched 2 -1! We must raise $8,289 to match this grant!
Can you help us match this pledge with a “Bold New Works” donation this year?
Donate $35 and receive an exclusive copy of our original album of The Turn of the Screw.
Donate $50 or more and you will also receive an invitation to the first workshop reading of the Monsters of the Villa Diodati in early November.
Donate $100 or more, you will also receive an invitation to our dress rehearsal on January 27, 2016, and opening night performance and post-show celebration Saturday, February 6, 2016.
We only need 50 people to give at this level and we will make our goal!
We hope that you will join us for this exciting project and contribute to our “Bold New Works” Fund today. The art that we create together will touch many lives and have an impact for many years to come.
