Bone Cancer Fighter
Organized by: Tanisha Gilbert
Hello I am a 22 year old female from the Cayman Islands and am currently studying biology and psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Today my mom messages me and said she bumped into a friend from school days. She asked how she was doing and she said "girl I'm dying." She went on to say that she has bone cancer, no insurance coverage and that she's not doing chemo... She also said she is trying to get help from meals on wheels (an organization that provides meals for the needy)to get a plate of food and they told her that it's only for the elderly and women that are not working and have small children. My mom got her porridge and gave her 10 bucks and wished she could have given her more. I feel so bad that our own cant even get treatment or food. This is why I'm reaching out to you. Please help. It might not be enough for her to get chemo treatment but atleast she will live some what comfortably and not have to worry whether she will be able to eat or not. PLEASE HELP.
