As many of you know, I have been running Tough Mudders for the past 2 years. I have been traveling around the country and Canada with friends, visiting friends, making friends, and getting muddy. In the past year, I have also had surgery on my shoulder and injured my hand. These injuries are nothing compared to the physical and psychological injuries survived by the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. I have been honored and touched to be on the TM course with some of these brave folks. But there are many more who are still struggling. For the past 6 years, Boise, my amazing therapy dog, and I have been volunteering through the SF SPCA with veterans struggling with severe psychological issues at the VA Psychological Intensive Care Unit in San Francisco. As I approach my 10th Tough Mudder in Temecula on Halloween, I want to make it count. I am running my 10th race in honor of our wounded warriors. Together I know we can raise $3,000 for The Wounded Warrior Project. If I can scale walls, crawl in the mud, dunk myself in ice water, and get electrocuted, you can reach into your wallets and make a donation.
