BENEFITING:

THE STORY:

An anonymous donor has offered up to $2,500 in matching money for any donations that come in between now and November 15th, 2011. That means we have an opportunity to generate $5,000 for books forTrenton kids.

If you want to support the Books at Home Program, you have the opportunity to double your donation.

The Books at Home Program

Studies show that when kids have more books in their home libraries, they do better in school (see here for research). The Books at Home program makes books available for all Trenton kids. In a struggling school district, this is one thing everybody can do to help kids succeed.

See here for what we were able to do last year.

The Books at Home Program needs your financial support. For each donation, Classics will provide an equivalent dollar amount worth of books toTrenton kids for free. Your donation will also inditectly help other Classics programs going, like supporting local authors with book signings and consignment sales, as well as hosting community groups like Reel Radio, the Trenton Knit and Stitch, the Trenton Scrabble Club and People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos.

How

Checks can be made payable to our fiscal sponsor, Children’s Futures. Inc, with “Classics Books at Home Program” in the memo line and mailed to Books at Home Program, c/o Classics Books,117 South Warren Street,Trenton,NJ08608.

Children’s Futures is a 501c3 non-profit organization (tax ID #31-1806276), so your donation is tax deductible.

If you could help Trenton kids with getting them an additional $5,000 worth of books–that’d be fantastic!
