Starting on Armed Forces Day, May 17th, Americans throughout the U.S. will show their support of the 1.4 million men and women who are currently serving by completing as many pushups as they can in 90 seconds.
Push Ups for Charity was started 5 years ago by a group of likeminded individuals who wanted to do something for men and women in the service. Pushups are done as a remembrance of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the freedom that we do today as Americans. There are several veteran participants and dozens of cities across the US are participating, where there is a grand total of over 1.4 million pushups being done. In just 90 seconds, you can change the lives of many service men and women. It doesn’t matter how well you can do them, or how many you can do. Every push up makes a difference!
At this event, a participant raises money by finding sponsors to pledge to pay a specific dollar amount (determined by sponsor) for every push up the participant does in their 90 second slot at the event.
This event will be held at:
San Diego Harley-Davidson
4645 Morena Blvd
San Diego, CA 92117
Date is Saturday, June 7th at 10:00am. Event should take about 1 to 1/2-2 hours tops. We will then host Boots On San Diego event after PUC at a local pub TBD.
