THE STORY:

The Boot Campaign wrote -

He’s at it again!  For the third straight year, country music artist Granger Smith is walking 100 miles in combat BOOTS!  Since 2011, Granger has logged 200 miles in his boots - his way of paying tribute to all those serving our country in the U.S. Armed Forces.  Because of his passion for our troops, Granger even wrote and recorded a successful song dedicated to our military men and women called, "That's What I Do With It.”

All funds raised through the Boot Walk will benefit the Boot Campaign, a national 501c3 non-profit that is dedicated to showing tangible appreciation of our active military, raising awareness of the challenges they face upon return and supporting their transition home.

On April 7, 2013 Granger Smith will begin a 100-mile journey in Austin, TX that will lead him to Fort Hood.  His journey of gratitude will culminate on April 11, 2013 where he will perform a concert.

About Granger Smith:

Texas born-and-bred singer/songwriter, Granger Smith, continues to reinvent the face of traditional country music.  His consistency in providing powerful, heartfelt, blended hits have made him into a fan and critic favorite over the years. He is set to release his ninth studio album this April 2013 and is riding the success of the debut single “We Do It In A Field.”  Granger’s passion for our troops has taken him on multiple tours in the Middle East, as well as lead to his founding of the annual 100-Mile Walk, which raises awareness of our soldiers needs as they return home. The 2013 100-Mile Walk will take place April 7-11 and serve as a kick-off event for the new album and tour. He boasts seven Top Ten singles on the Texas Music Charts and has been featured artist in Billboard’s weekly “Bubbling Under” column, which highlights artists who are making their way towards Billboard chart success. Granger launched a country boy alter-ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., who has found his own success with “The Country Boy Song.” Dibbles is now part of Granger’s tour schedule and boasts more than 3.6 million views on YouTube for his viral videos. Granger and Earl have a captive audience on Facebook and Twitter that exceeds 220,000 followers.
