This is my fourth and final year marching with the Boston Crusaders and Drum Corps International! From humble beginnings in 2008, having never seen a drum corps show live, I embarked on a journey that would change my life forever by joining the Boston Crusaders. Being a member of this drum corps over the years has taught me an unbelievable amount about endurance, overcoming adversity, teamwork, true strength, and so much more. It means the world to me to be able to march my final season with the Boston Crusaders for myself, my corpsmates, everyone who has supported me over the years, and all of the friends I have made along the way that have also aged out.
Truly, I consider myself the person that I am today on account of the Boston Crusaders. As a microbiology major, and future educator, I have taken away so many lessons about life, educating youth, and building relationships that would not be possible in any other activity. I look forward to passing on the torch this year to the younger members of the drum corps to carry on the tradition of excellence that we have perpetuated as a drum corps, over the last 70+ years.
So I hope that you consider supporting my efforts in the Boston Crusaders this summer, prayerfully, financially, (or even bringing me gatorade!) or otherwise. It is sure to be an amazing summer but all of the things I described above cannot be possible without the support and aid of people like you to help get us down the road. Thank you for considering supporting me in my final year with the Boston Crusaders!
