THE STORY:

This summer, I intend on spending my free time marching with the Boston Crusaders drum & bugle corps. For approximately 2 ½ months we will tour the  country, starting on the West Coast and working our way back East. During this time we will  travel over 12,000 miles and perform in more than 40 competitions.

The Boston Crusaders are the third-oldest drum & bugle corps in the nation and a proud  founding member of Drum Corps International (DCI). For over 70 years the Boston  Crusaders have provided opportunities for marching members to experience an intensive  program of music education and performance training. While they are fiercely competitive,  placing top 12 for the past 13 years, they are equally known for providing a family  environment where members are not just another dot on the field.

I march with the Boston Crusaders because I enjoy the challenge of being pushed as farther than I think I can go (And believe me, that happens). It is such a thrill to take a simple show and change/refine it for over 2 and 1/2 months and have a final project that one that can be extremely pround of being a part of. The Boston Crusaders have been a part of my life for a long time now, and I am looking forward to marching my age-out (last) season with the corps!

Today I am reaching out to family, friends, and alumni asking for your support to continue  my Boston Crusader experience. Please CLICK THE DONATE BUTTON and make a taxdeductible donation to the March-a-thon.

Forever grateful,

Alan Silva

The Boston Crusaders are registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 Not-forProfit Corporation.
