BENEFITING: American Red Cross
EVENT DATE: May 18, 2013
My heart goes out to those affected by the bombings in Boston. As a runner, a Boston resident, and a member of the Northeastern University community, I want to bring some relief to the victims and survivors of these horrific explosions. I firmly believe in the good in people...I believe in the good of humanity. I want to show those injured and affected how much good there can be in this world. Unfortunately, I am currently not in U.S. to personally aid with the relief. I know many Northeastern University students that are abroad that feel as helpless as I do. I am studying abroad in China and am signed up for the Great Wall Marathon. In light of what happened, I have dedicated my race to those affected by the Boston Marathon Bombings. I will run with everyone in my thoughts, and in my heart. I decided to start a fundraiser for all those who want to join me in this endeavor. Please help me show Boston the light at the end of a tragic tunnel. Though this is just money, it represents so much more. Even the smallest amount helps! It represents thoughts, prayers, compassion and love. Let's show the world what we can do...26.20 miles, and $26.20 dollars at a time.
