BENEFITING: HOPKINTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
The Boston Marathon is a race that has always meant a lot to me. Marathon Monday/weekend is one of my favorite times in Boston and running has always been a dream/goal of mine! I have been lucky enough to work on many different areas of the race throughout my career, starting from an intern selling booth space for the expo up to last year getting the great opportunity to work with the B.A.A. team on the events throughout Marathon Weekend/Monday. A couple years I was even able to be a spectator and cheered at the finish line for friends who were running. Whether I am working the race or cheering on friends, every year I tell myself next year I will run this race! This year I am bringing it full circle and will actually be participating as a runner and I could not be more excited (not to mention a little nervous) to finally run down Boylston Street on Marathon Monday! I will be running for The Hopkinton Center for the Arts.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the visual and perfroming arts. HCA is where youth, teens, and adults from across the MetroWest Boston area engage and collaborate in fine art, dance, music, theater, filmmaking, photography, acting, and creative writing. There's much more about HCA on https://hopartscenter.org.
